Why the links about Settlers of Catan? How is it related to Math and Logic?
Some of you may wonder why I have links about Settlers of Catan or even why I have links to games at all. First, most games I play that are formal board games or card games are essentially large mathematical problems in probability. Some might say, “All games are like that, that is all board games or card games are essentially large mathematical problems in probability.” To that statement I must yield, but I say games like Settlers of Catan are much more complex and the game play, especially online, makes one a better player. I find your major of philosophy and mathmatical probabilaty very interesting. I never heard of such a degree. I learned something new today. I am glad I read your blog.

I would recommend a siamese beta in a fishbowl to start off with. It is quite economical for students on budgets. And, they are quite hardy. You could keep it out of reach of the kitten.
Thanks for reading my blog. Good luck with Unix and your physics pursuits.
My husband, roommate and I are totally and completely addicted to settlers of Catan. We've been playing it once or twice a day since we bought it a month ago. Maybe it helps that I'm a math teacher, my husband is a physics grad student and our roommate is a math major, but we haven't looked into the math of it at all. It's just totally addictive fun.
